High School Speech-Language Pathologist (Full-Time)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a boys' high school. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop effective communication skills that support academic success, social development, and future independence. This is a full-time, school-based position working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language evaluations for high school students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs.
  • Deliver individual and small-group speech-language therapy sessions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs in compliance with state and school requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, psychologists, and other support staff to ensure student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals and accommodations.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatic language, and executive functioning-related communication skills.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and school regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CF candidates may be considered).
  • New York State Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification preferred.
  • Experience working with adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
